Two-Storey Rear Home Extension Islington, Elmore Street

Our two storey home extension in Islington is a brilliant example of how dramatic a change it is possible to make to a modest London home.

In just ten weeks, we were able to convert a one bedroom duplex flat into a two bedroom flat complete with all new kitchen diner and bathroom. The all new second bedroom was installed onto the back garden of the property, which was newly decked and also featured a wooden canopy. Bi-folding glazed doors were installed which collapsed into the smallest possible space, providing a large, open entry to the garden; perfect for summer months.

Elliot and Laura came to Simply to renovate their property in order to add an additional bedroom. From that point on Simply were able to draw up bespoke plans and designs which took advantage of our expertise, whilst meeting all of the client’s requirements. Once the plans are approved, we got started on the build.

We built the extension but our work did not stop there as we were able to renovate and redecorate all of the existing rooms, including the installation of a brand new bathroom suite with bath/shower and contemporary sink feature. An all new kitchen/diner was also installed, taking advantage of a good sized room to become a focal point of the new-look duplex.

Kitchen/diners are perfect for hosting friends and family and installing a kitchen diner is always a great step toward turning a house into a home. This home extension in London is a great example of how a family in search of more space in the UK’s most expensive housing market, can gain that space without moving home.
