One family who came to us looking to improve their home were Naomi and Adam, from South East London. They wanted to create a sociable kitchen that was great for entertaining, as well as a versatile family space.
To create the desired space, we completed a wraparound extension (a combination of a rear extension and side return extension) and the couple designed a room that has a spacious kitchen diner with a relaxing area in one corner. To connect this new room to the garden, a large bi-folding door was fitted, which helps to bring in natural light.
You can also combine an extension with a loft-conversion and make the most of every square inch of space you have. Known as a double conversion, we extended a kitchen and converted a loft in a property in Charlton. This resulted in the owners having a new guest bedroom with a bathroom and added an open plan kitchen/diner/living area in the back of the house.
