Brief: single storey side return and porch extension, as well as internal reconfiguration to a semi-detached house in Primrose Hill, North London, creating a larger kitchen-living space, new kitchen, and new ground floor ensuite.

With the property residing in a conservation area, these approvals included planning permission from the local council before the build could start.
The envisioned plans
The intended design for the property was a single storey side-return extension, making use of the space at the side of the house, as well as a single storey porch extension. Plans for the new, larger space included an open plan kitchen-living area and a new ground floor en-suite.

The completed build
The finished product was undoubtedly stunning. The new ensuite bathroom, with its clean stone finish, shares the design and calm of a blissful spa.
In the new, expansive open kitchen, the far stretching windows and sliding doors act as breath-taking features wall of green. This is beautifully framed by the wooden window border sitting within the fresh white space.
