Rear Kitchen Extension Stoke Newington, Ormsby Place

Our client from Ormsby Place in Stoke Newington, North London, first approached Simply Extend with dreams of building a modern and open plan kitchen space for their mid-terraced home. Following a free site survey of the property, our client was advised to opt for a single storey rear kitchen extension, as a great way of adding more space to their property and connecting their living space to their garden. The design and build process

In partnership with our client, the design team got to work drafting up plans which were sent to the local council in Stoke Newington for planning approval. Once given the go ahead, structural designs and calculations were made in preparation for construction to start.

In the first stages of the build, to help minimise disruption, as much external work as possible was carried out before the construction team broke through to the existing rear of the property. At this point in the build, the shell of the new extension was created, and the property made watertight. Once all external work was complete, the internal refurbishment began. All first and second fix electrical and plumbing work was installed, and new lightings and fixtures added.

During this time in the kitchen extension process our client was given full access to their own Simply Dashboard, providing important updates on the progress of their build, as well as access to important payment and variation information.

The end result was simply fantastic! With the build complete and our client happy, we handed over all the necessary certification including building control completion certifications as well as electrical and gas certificates

In the end our client chose a pristine white theme, with a standout glossy brick wall feature and marbled kitchen island. To introduce some colour into the crisp, white space our client opted for some stylish Prussian blue sofa chairs, perfect for socialising or basking in the sun.

Taking full opportunity of the single-storey nature of the kitchen extension, our client chose a transparent roof structure to cast a sea of light into the expanded dining and seating area. To further open up the space and connect to their lush green garden, our client opted for a set of smooth-running bi-folding doors finished in anthracite grey.
