Brief: Design and build a single-storey side return rear kitchen extension to a mid-terrace property in Wandsworth, Southwest London, creating an open-plan kitchen and dining area.
Our clients, whose home is in the vibrant area of Wandsworth in Southwest London, reached out to us to request a free site survey. Their goal was to expand and enhance the space within their kitchen and dining area. After conducting a thorough site survey at their residence, our architects determined that a single-storey side return extension would be the most suitable solution, tailored to meet the client’s specific budget and spatial needs.
This extension has transformed this beautiful home in Wandsworth, creating an impressive kitchen and dining space. The architect’s innovative design incorporates a full-length window and spacious bi-fold doors, allowing abundant natural light to flood the kitchen area. The seamless flow to the outdoor space, facilitated by the bi-fold doors, is ideal for entertaining and enjoying summer evenings with loved ones.
Furthermore, skylights have been cleverly added along the entire length of the side return section, further enhancing the influx of natural light, and rendering the kitchen a welcoming and serene space.

The colour scheme carries through into the kitchen units on two sides, cleverly framing the island. To maintain the sleek aesthetic, they have integrated the appliances for a seamless look.
