Simply Extend were delighted to complete this stunning extension in Greenwich, South-East London. Our surveyor determined the best choice for this property was a wrap around extension to maximise space, adding a large kitchen and dining space and a ground floor toilet.

The kitchen space includes three stunning pitched roof lanterns that flood the space with natural light, creating a beautifully lit space. The pitched roof lanterns compliment the neutral stone colour of the cabinets, creating a dreamy, soft appearance. The inclusion of roof lanterns provides copious amounts of natural light which is ideal for a space that requires task-lighting. As a kitchen is a place for cooking, eating and entertaining, the requirement for good lighting is paramount which is why the combination of downlights, pendant lights and roof lanterns is the perfect combination in creating a light, bright kitchen.

With a lighter, neutral colour chosen for most of their kitchen cabinets, our client opted for a touch of darkness with a dark, slate grey kitchen island and cabinets surrounding the fridge. With the juxtaposition of light and dark, the kitchen island adds a dramatic flair to an otherwise softer colour scheme. To compliment the kitchen island, a slate grey tall radiator has been installed as a design feature. Tall radiators are a subtle, modern approach to radiator installation and are perfect for smaller spaces.

Situated above the kitchen island, three pendant lights create a welcoming space for family and guests to dine. Pendant lights can be the perfect finishing touch to a modern kitchen design. Bright enough to perform tasks at the kitchen island but warm enough to dine under, pendant lights are an aesthetic and resourceful addition to most kitchens.

With an existing garden room used as an office, our client wished for a strong connection to the outdoors. As homeowners that take full advantage of their garden space, the choice of bifold doors was the perfect solution for this London family. The bifold doors allow a quick pathway to their existing garden office room, creating an incredibly convenient commute to work with just a few steps between the kitchen and the office space!
