This stunning kitchen was created by a large rear and side return extension, that opened this kitchen up to an open-plan layout with lots of natural lighting. Our clients wanted more space as a growing London family, and they certainly got what they wanted with this extension! The flush roof glazing brings in plenty of light down the side of this kitchen space, illuminating the bright yellow colours, and balancing out the darker kitchen fittings. This North London kitchen is as modern as it gets and has been proudly showcased in many home magazines. It is also worth noting that this project also had a loft conversion completed by our sister company, Simply Loft, at the same time, renovating much of the property.
Our clients on Ormsby Place needed more space for their family and decided to have a rear extension on their property. This rear extension is quite different to many of the rear extension projects we have completed, with an almost fully glass roof on the rear segment. Natural lighting can transform any extension space, making small spaces look infinitely bigger, as shown with this stunning kitchen extension. This sunroom-type living area is beautifully designed, with the natural lighting balancing out the gorgeously rich blue colour scheme. We love the blue sofa chairs and the natural wooden table, creating a modern yet natural interior that any London family would enjoy living in.
For this extension project, the Simply Extend team completed a rear extension project and a full reconfiguration of the room layout in this modern ground floor flat. In the kitchen area, our clients opted to have exposed steels to create a modern-industrial appearance. This is becoming more popular in North London homes, especially for younger homeowners, as it brings real city-living feel into the home! The bedrooms are well-sized, decorated with dark colours and balanced with lighter furnishings or furnishings with a metallic trim. The importance of contrasting colour schemes is demonstrated in this extension project, with the bedrooms balancing light and dark incredibly well. The dark bedroom feature wall is balanced out by the white walls and monochrome patterned rug, creating a modern living space that isn’t too dark or too light.
